No Sounds After Getting Desktop OEM?Help?! Hello, hoping someone could help me on this major sound ssue. Running Windows XP on an old Compaq Presario 5000a. Using Soundblaster Audigy MP3+ for about a year and recently updated drivers.

Help on using Windows Media Player. The WMP10 Energy Bliss visualization shows Album Art only if the art is in a separate. Having problems playing the output files the camera produces, installing DirectX 8 or 9 should fix the issue. Generally Plenoptic will work for any card that isn't giving us back bad data on the.

Vex 3 swf file. Sound was working before I called Compaq/HP on a memory issue. After working with them I?ve found there are no system sounds at all. No sounds from cds or dvds, although I get video. I have a cd drive (TDK Velocd) and dvd drive (Dynex) that don?t automatically recognize formats anymore. Connections were not changed from before their assistance.

Their conclusion after I called back and told them of my new experience: Use Quick Restore cds, (which I am cautious of doing if there are other solutions that I might not have tried yet. Perhaps something with the BIOS settings). What I did so far: Checked all volume levels Checked all connections Checked for system sounds Checked correct device selected for audio playback (Audigy) Checked devices and Sound, Video and Game Controllers in Device Manager (states all is running well) Uninstalled and restarted reinstalled all drivers Unplugged interior/ exterior connections with soundcard and cd and dvd drives, reconnected, started up again. System Restore to point before getting Compaq?help?

None has worked so far. Please help if you?ve got any ideas.

Thanks, Jason. Sounds like (pardon the pun) you have covered everything - one can only conclude that its the sound card that has a problem - however you didn't say what 'memory' problems you were having and what changes you made to your system - I say this because 'restore' is not a full proof system and not all files are backed up.

Many downloads like Wurth Wow 5.00.12 may also include a serial number, cd key or keygen. Wurth wow 5 00 8 keygen crack serial number.

But try and rule out a faulty sound card by installing it in another computer if possible. And if you have an onboard sounds system as well make sure its turned off in the bios. Also try the restore point before installing the new sound card drivers. Hello AussiePete, I'm not good at working around the BIOS settings, I didn't see anything that looked like I was about to turn off the onboard sound. Under the Advanced tab, I saw the following: Advanced --> PCI Devices --> [Onboard] VGA Controller IRQ3 [Onboard] USB Controller IRQ11 [Onboard] SM Bus Controller IRQ5 [Onboard] Audio Controller IRQ5 [Slot1] ATM IRQ3 [Slot2]16450 Modem IRQ11 I don't have another computer I could test the card, but I don't think it would go out on me just like that!? Thanks for any other ideas.
